FAQs
Before you get in touch.
What is AA Health Central (AAHC) and where is it based?
AA Health Central (AAHC) is an independent, non-clinical patient and family journey support service based in Dubai, serving patients and families in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. We offer healthcare navigation, care coordination, family and caregiver support, recovery and continuity support, in-person support and support for international patients. Scope and fees are agreed in writing, starting with a free 15–30 minute conversation. See our packages.
Is AA Health Central a clinic or medical provider?
No. AAHC is an independent, non-clinical service. We don’t diagnose, prescribe or give treatment advice. We help you navigate, organise and coordinate care with your own doctors and healthcare providers.
Who usually contacts you: patients or families?
Both. Many enquiries come from family members: adult children supporting a parent, spouses, or relatives living overseas. We can work with a designated family contact, with the patient’s authorisation.
What happens in the first conversation?
It is a free call of 15–30 minutes. We listen to your situation and needs, and confirm whether AAHC is the right fit. We don’t review records or make recommendations at this stage.
Do I need an assessment before support begins?
A paid, non-clinical assessment may be required for complex, project-based or ongoing support. It helps us understand your coordination needs and develop a written support plan. Straightforward, one-off requests may not require an assessment. We’ll explain what is needed during the introductory conversation.
Is this an emergency or 24/7 service?
No. AAHC doesn’t provide emergency, urgent or 24/7 support. Our hours are Monday to Friday, 9am–6pm, and Saturday, 10am–2pm. In a medical emergency, call 998.
Do you receive fees from the providers you recommend?
Some provider partnerships are commission-based. We also help clients explore providers outside those partnerships. Options are guided by your individual needs, preferences and circumstances, and the final choice remains yours.
Which areas do you cover?
Dubai is included. Support in Abu Dhabi is available with a travel surcharge, and remote support is available where appropriate, including for family members overseas.
